13 JUN - Melting (Day 6)
Well, the only excitement today was driving back to Weimar. It's amazing that I can still make driving mistakes even though we have GPS in the SUV. "In 300 metres, keep to the right then keep to the right and then in 150 metres, keep to the right." I am not kidding that was the set of directions where I got COMPLETELY lost.
Once we got back to Weimar, we got a bite to eat at this really cool restaurant downtown. It looks like a very old restaurant/hotel. It has the stereotypical wooden beams and plaster. We had some very rich meals. I had a pork roulade with onions and green peppers in a dark, salty sauce. Of course, we had the Kloese potatoes which is the regional potato specialty. Rocco had a beef dish in the same type of sauce. Rocco doesn't like red cabbage though. I sure do!
We also found several ways to melt things. Our groceries melted in the SUV while we were eating dinner. In addition, our butter melted on the counter in the apartment from the 90 degree weather we have been having.
For the rest of the evening, we napped, watched the rest of the matches for day and updated the blod. I'm finally caught-up.
My body is still a little lagged from travelling. My internal clock still wants to go to sleep around 3 PM which is 9 AM at home. I guess the body wants to sleep after thinking that it has been awake all night until 9 AM.

Rocco, you better start eating your veggies or I'm going to call your "Boo" and tell her she better have a talk with you! You two are making me hungry. Rico, don't you remember the potatoes you're calling "Kloesen" are called Knuedeln. perhaps you've forgotten when Geli made them.
