10 JUN - Easy Day

Today was an easy day. We had a nice breakfast at the pension where we stayed. Rocco put some pictures on his "Whirlwind" day. Here is a picture of me in my room.



If you haven't stayed in many European hotels, this is a typical room size. No, I'm not standing in the corner. OK, yeah, I'm in the corner of the room but you can see 2/3 of the room in the picture including most of the bathroom. In addition, there is no air conditioning. There is a heater when the weather is cool but if you are hot the only thing to do is think about ice cream or in my case perhaps think about someone else enjoying a nice creamy Dairy Queen ....

"Seven Corners" is what this sign says. This is where the pension is located. I was curious about the name but I forgot to ask the owner.



In case I didn't mention it, our apartment is the state of Thuringen. This is the shield of the state. You see this sign as you are entering the state. It's kind of cool. I think it would be cool if they did that in the States n the major highways and interstates, if the state put it's state flag on a sign post.
